Kamakaalohilohiomalia (Malia) Davidson is a Certified Master Teacher of Tao Academy. Malia strives to teach the seamless connection of native Hawaiian intelligence and Dr. and Master Sha’s teachings. She believes the Hawaiian proverb, “ʻAʻohe pau ka ʻike i ka hālau hoʻokahi,” all knowledge is not learned in the same school. She has raised her children in this wisdom and recognizes the powerful grounding qualities and nurturing characteristics they will reveal and sustain despite the hardships that they may face.

Malia is a community organizer, educator, mediator and an active advocate for environment, education, empowerment of children, Hawaiian language, and cultural education for over 30 years. Born and raised in Maui, Hawaiʻi, a native Hawaiian, and mother of five children, she received both a bachelors and masters degrees as a non-traditional student from the University of Hawaiʻi in peace studies and political science.

She is the director of Master Sha Tao Center in Hawaiʻi and loves her job supporting the global community, clients,  students, and Master Teachers of the Tao Academy to live a happier and healthier life Hawaiian style.  She is an active volunteer with Puʻu Kukui Watershed Preserve, the largest ahupuaʻa (ridge to reef) land divisions in Hawaii and 2nd wettest place in the world, the Hawaiʻi Institute for Human Rights, networking organizations throughout Hawaiʻi who actively achieve the sustainable development goals aligned with the UN University Research Center of Expertise (UNU RCE) Moananuiākea, and member of Paʻu o Hiʻiaka, a hula hālau (school) under Kumu Hula (Master Hula Expert) Dr. Hōkūlani Holt.

Malia’s connection to her kupuna (ancestors), love of ʻāina (land), and deep commitment to empower community helps her build bridges of relevance and transformation to those she teaches. Aloha and hoʻoponopono are key, as all life exist because our love and forgiveness for and with each other is what reveals our purpose and next steps each moment. Kūlia i ka nuʻu! (Strive for the Summit)
